Urban Spree Galerie cordially invites you to the Opening of "Nonpoint Sources", the 4th Solo Show of the German artist Hendrik Czakainski with the gallery.

The Exhibition opens on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 at 18:00 at Urban Spree (Warschauer Str. x Revaler Str. / S+U Warschauer Str.) during Berlin Art Week/Gallery Weekend.

Contact us directly to enquire about the catalogue of available works.

“Imagine that you are a raindrop. It begins to rain and you hit the ground and flow across streets, parking lots, yards, construction sites, farm fields… Along the way, you pick up litter, oil, grease, metals, rubber, dirt, fertilizers, pesticides, animal waste, and other things left behind. All of these pollutants mix with the rain and flow away as nonpoint source pollution. » (Illinois Environmental Protection Agency).

Hendrik Czakainski fills his large wall sculptures with the particles and raindrops of our contaminated civilization, building his imaginary constructions only to let them succumb to the invisible and poisonous streams that run through it. Huge fracture lines dislocate high-density environments while structures are flooded with the colored poisons that irrigate the veins of our industrial civilization.

During Berlin Art Week, we strongly recommend to visit 2 must-see exhibitions at walking distance from Urban Spree: Studio Berlin at Berghain (Opening on 09.09) and Austin Lee at Peres Projects (Opening on 11.09).

To plan your visit at Urban Spree:

Our gallery space is large and can accommodate many visitors. However, in case of a large affluence, our even larger Biergarten will have you wait in perfect condition. In addition, VOLK AT URBAN SPREE, our Oyster Bar project with VOLK MITTE, will be open with a selection of oysters, seafood platters & nature wines.
