MY HEART IS AN EMPTY SPACE
Für seine Ausstellung stellte der Künstler innere Impulse konsequent über konzeptionelle Strenge. Er überträgt ihnen die volle kuratorische Verantwortung. Die Ausstellung ist damit Seelenspiegel und unverstellter Blick auf einen intuitiven Kreativprozess, der vor allem Motive wie Einsamkeit, Stillstand oder Verlassenheit freilegt. Lars Wagner greift nicht in die intuitive, impulsgesteuerte Zusammenstellung ein. Er entzieht sich damit weitgehend einer korrigierenden Stringenz und lässt Fotos auf sinnliche und assoziative Weise zueinander finden. Der Künstler behält sich aber das Recht vor, die so entstandene Ausstellung zu kommentieren, zu hinterfragen und für sich einzuordnen. MY HEART IS AN EMPTY SPACE wird damit zu einem fotografischen und textlichen Dialog mit sich selbst und dem Publikum.

Biografie
Lars Wagner, Jahrgang 1977, arbeitet als freier Texter und Künstler in Berlin. Wenn er gerade nicht schreibt, hat er meistens eine Kamera in der Hand. Damit widmet er sich am liebsten den scheinbar unspektakulären und beiläufigen Momenten des Alltags und erforscht an ihnen die Eigenarten unseres Lebens.

MY HEART IS AN EMPTY SPACE
For his exhibition, the artist placed inner impulses above conceptual rigor. He gives them full curatorial responsibility. The exhibition is thus a reflection of his inner voice and an unobstructed view of an intuitive creative process that reveals motifs such as loneliness, stagnation and abandonment. Lars Wagner does not intervene in the intuitive, impulse-driven composition. He largely avoids any corrective stringency and allows the photos to come together in a sensual and associative way. However, the artist reserves the right to comment on, question and categorize the resulting exhibition. My heart is an empty space thus becomes a photographic and textual dialog with himself and the audience.

Biografie
Lars Wagner, born in 1977, works as a freelance copywriter and artist in Berlin. When he is not writing, he usually has a camera in his hand. He prefers to capture the seemingly unspectacular and casual moments of everyday life and uses them to explore the peculiarities of our living.
